Fragrance is a coffee maker that pays homage to the traditional method of grinding coffee beans just before brewing. In Turkish culture, the process of grinding coffee beans to an extra fine consistency releases an intense aroma that captivates the senses. With Fragrance, Etem Deniz Temucin seeks to bring this cultural experience to people around the world.

What sets Fragrance apart is its distinctive "hourglass" form, which not only adds a touch of elegance to the design but also serves a functional purpose. The unique shape allows for easy feeding of coffee beans into the built-in grinder, ensuring a fresh and flavorful brew every time.

One of the key features of Fragrance is its versatility. It offers three adjustable cooking options to cater to different preferences. The first option allows users to adjust the cooking time, resulting in varying levels of strength for the Turkish coffee. The second option enables users to choose the granule size, making it possible to brew other types of unfiltered coffee besides Turkish coffee. Lastly, Fragrance allows users to set the desired cup count, ensuring consistency in every brew. These options can be saved in three profiles, eliminating the need for users to adjust the settings every time.

With a maximum radius of 86 mm and a height of 330 mm, Fragrance is compact and space-efficient, making it suitable for any kitchen or coffee lover's collection. Its sleek design seamlessly blends orientalist and Bauhaus design philosophies, appealing to both traditionalists and modern enthusiasts.

Etem Deniz Temucin embarked on the Fragrance project in February 2015 and completed it in May 2015 in Istanbul. The design process involved overcoming creative, technical, and research challenges to find the perfect balance between preserving the essence of Turkish coffee culture and incorporating innovative features.

Fragrance has been recognized for its excellence and innovation, receiving the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Digital and Electronic Device Design category in 2017. This award is a testament to Fragrance's well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, meeting the highest professional and industrial standards.
